Mission defines intention. Impact reflects realized change. We apply that to ourselves too.
Why we exist
Moonland exists to amplify the measurable impact of organizations committed to making a positive change.
We do that by democratizing access to the digital systems behind critical internal processes — making them transparent, understandable, and owned by the teams who depend on them. Not locked behind technical complexity. Not dependent on us.
We chose this focus deliberately. Building digital systems for organizations committed to positive change is not the obvious commercial decision. We made it anyway, because we think intention alone is not enough: real progress happens when purpose is paired with systems that enable transparency, ownership and control.
That runs in two directions. We amplify the impact of the organizations we work with, and we hold ourselves to having a real positive impact on society and the environment through the way we run and operate this company. The second half is now written into our articles of association.

Where it all started
Moonland was founded by Igor Rokhkind and Pello Múgica Gonzalez in 2023, two people who kept seeing the same problem: organizations doing meaningful work, held back by systems that were never really designed. So they decided to do something about it.
In 2022, Pello was honored with the Laureate Digital for Development 'iChoose' Prize and has been nominated in 2023 for the Top 40 under 40 Humanitarian Tech Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
