Empowering 250 NGO Professionals in Romania with Airtable

More than 390 registrations and 250 live participants. Together with AmpliFY ONG and Fundația Orange, Moonland brought practical Airtable training to Romania’s nonprofit community, helping organizations explore how better digital systems can strengthen their operations and support measurable impact.

For many nonprofits, managing information is becoming increasingly complex.

Programs grow, reporting requirements increase, and teams often find themselves working across spreadsheets, documents, and disconnected tools.

What starts as a practical way to organize information can gradually become difficult to manage.

And when critical processes depend on fragmented systems, organizations spend valuable time coordinating information instead of focusing on their missions.

This was the starting point for our recent Airtable webinar in Romania.

Organized in collaboration with AmpliFY ONG, with funding and support from Fundația Orange, the session brought together 250 nonprofit professionals interested in learning how to structure their data and improve their internal processes using Airtable.

With more than 390 registrations, the response highlighted the interest in accessible digital solutions within Romania’s nonprofit community.

‍

Using Airtable to Strengthen Nonprofit Operations

During the webinar, Pello Múgica Gonzalez, Co Founder of Moonland, introduced participants to practical ways of using Airtable to organize information, manage processes, and support impact measurement.

The session explored how nonprofits can connect their Theory of Change with the systems they use to manage programs and activities.

Participants learned how Airtable can help structure information about activities, outputs, outcomes, indicators, and supporting evidence.

For organizations working with multiple stakeholders, programs, or funding requirements, having this information organized in one accessible system can make reporting and coordination significantly easier.

But the objective wasn’t simply to demonstrate Airtable’s features.

It was to help participants understand how digital systems can support the processes their organizations depend on.

Because technology becomes valuable when it helps teams work with greater clarity, consistency, and control.

Strengthening Nonprofit Communities Through Local Partnerships

The webinar was organized as part of Digital Builders, an initiative developed by AmpliFY ONG together with Fundația Orange through the Orange Digital Center program.

The initiative supports Romanian nonprofits in developing practical digital skills and exploring how no code technology can strengthen their organizations.

For Moonland, collaborating with organizations that understand their local communities is an important part of our approach.

AmpliFY ONG brings valuable knowledge of Romania’s nonprofit ecosystem, while Fundația Orange supports initiatives that make digital education and technology more accessible.

By combining their local expertise and networks with our experience in designing digital systems, we could make practical learning available to a wider group of nonprofit professionals.

Our ambition is global, but our approach is rooted in local collaboration.

We believe effective digital transformation starts with understanding how organizations actually operate.

That means recognizing their challenges, adapting to their context, and helping them develop capabilities that remain useful long after an individual training session.

‍

Making Digital Systems More Accessible

At Moonland, we believe organizations committed to making a positive change deserve digital systems that are as strong as their ambitions.

Yet many organizations still rely on processes and tools that have evolved organically rather than strategically.

As their operations become more complex, these systems can limit efficiency, create dependencies, and make it harder to demonstrate results.

Our mission is to democratize access to the digital systems behind critical internal processes, helping organizations develop the autonomy, resilience, and structure they need to grow sustainably.

That means making technology understandable, adaptable, and manageable by the people who use it every day.

It’s also why we invest in initiatives like this webinar.

By sharing practical knowledge and collaborating with local partners, we want to help nonprofit teams develop the confidence and capabilities to improve their own operations.

Because democratizing technology isn’t just about giving organizations access to better tools. It’s about giving them greater ownership of how they work.

‍

From Digital Skills to Practical Solutions

The webinar marked the beginning of a broader learning journey through Digital Builders.

Participating organizations have the opportunity to continue developing their skills through additional online learning and a practical Buildathon.

During the Buildathon, selected organizations will work alongside volunteers and experts to develop Airtable solutions based on their own operational challenges.

This approach reflects something we strongly believe in at Moonland: digital transformation should be built around an organization’s reality, not the other way around.

Rather than introducing technology for its own sake, the goal is to help organizations identify the processes that matter most and develop solutions they can understand, manage, and adapt themselves.

Building these capabilities internally helps reduce dependency on external expertise and creates a stronger foundation for long term improvement.

Supporting Positive Change, One Community at a Time

We’re grateful to AmpliFY ONG and Fundația Orange for making this initiative possible, and to the 250 participants who joined us to learn, ask questions, and explore new possibilities.

For us, the success of this webinar isn’t just measured by attendance.

It’s about the opportunities it creates for nonprofit professionals to develop practical skills and take greater ownership of their digital systems.

When organizations understand and control the systems behind their operations, they’re better equipped to adapt to change, manage complexity, and focus their energy on the impact they want to create.

That’s the kind of progress we want to support.

‍

One community, one partnership, and one stronger organization at a time.
